This small, cozy town in the heart of sunny Kakheti is like a painting: houses with orange tiled roofs nestle comfortably on a high hill, an 18th-century fortress wall offers panoramic views of the endless Alazani Valley, winding streets beckon you to stroll hand in hand with your loved one, and cafes with sunset views seem to whisper, "Stop, moment..."
It's especially wonderful from April to June. The city is verdant and filled with the scent of flowers. I've been photographing in Sighnaghi since 2019 and experience its beauty every season. Incidentally, another beautiful location—just a three-minute drive from Sighnaghi—is Bodbe Monastery, a sacred site with a stunning garden where thousands of roses bloom in the summer, with the blooming season being late May and early June. A photo shoot in Sighnaghi is a romantic's dream.
